Garden Sprites, Sprouts, Elves and Imps!
I decided to make this a separate category because I have been making them in both Soft Glass and Borosilicate Glass and I didn't want you to have to keep jumping around to find them! These fun little guys and gals are based on a tutorial I purchased from Cynthia Tilker, a fellow glass artist who does the most amazing work. A huge thank you to Cynthia for sharing her techniques!
Each one is different and has their own personality! I imagine them zipping around my garden or perhaps finding a hiding place in a deep crevice of one of my trees. I believe that at just the right time of day if you take a moment to relax, let go of your worries and soften your eyes you just might be able to see all these special creatures buzzing about your garden. Maybe those dragonflies really are fairies? Like the little elf in the movie The Santa Clause says "seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing". And yes, I do believe! I hope you do too...
