From my heart to the Flame - Beads with Soul!

Hello and welcome to Divine Spark Designs!
My name is Jenny Friske-Baer and I create one-of-kind handmade lampwork beads and glass. I also make fun hand stamped word charms! I work with Borosilicate glass (a.k.a. hard glass) - my first love - and also with Italian glass such as Effetre and Vetrofond, Gaffer glass and Bullseye (all of these are also known as soft glass). Some other things you might want to know:

All of my lampworked beads and glass creations are always properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln and the bead holes thoroughly cleaned.

I accept credit cards (Mastercard/Visa, Discover) through my secure shopping cart and also through PayPal. I will also accept checks - your order will ship once your check has been deposited and cleared (can take up to 10 days).

For shipping I offer Priority Mail ($4.80) and First Class ($2.50). I will ship internationally using First Class Mail International for $4.00 ($2.00 to Canada).
And most importantly - I add new beads every Tuesday!

July 20: Hello all! I am back from my Trunk Show at Bodacious Beads in Hillsboro, Or and I had a wonderful time! A HUGE thank you to Clarkie for hosting me and also to Bitszy (you know who you are!) for allowing me to stay at the Mountain Inn. We had lots of laughs and I even got some seed beading in! I had forgotten how much I loved that.... It was great to see all the fabulous customers - thank you Sue for motivating me to make more flowers! I think I have gotten the website cleaned up and removed all the items that sold. I do have some new things for this week so check back on Tuesday for that! Thanks again, Jenny

The last thing I have today are some word/story charms that I have been working on. They are copper and have the text etched onto them (vs. stamping them with a metal stamp). The etching gives them an aged look, sort of a 'found art' sort of appeal. Anyways, I'm a bit nervous to offer them up - quite a few steps are involved in making them and while I love the final outcome, I'm never sure if you guys will! Have a look and let me know what you think! (they'll be up in a few minutes...)

July 1: I've started my update a bit late today... So far there are some new Large Sprees up. I played a lot with the new silver glass called Terranova2 - wow - it is really an awesome, easy to work with color! The only drawback is that it is $100 a pound - ouch! But well worth it I think - I hope you think so too!

Also - it is that time of year again - the new issue of Beadwork's fabulous resource issue will hit the stands in mid-April. I am thrilled to have been chosen again to be included in the Editor's Top 100 picks! Even if I wasn't in this year's edition it would still be a 'must have' for me - I still have last years on the shelf by my computer. It is filled with tons of great resources - I refer to it often for new suppliers and inspiration. It is definitely worth the extra trip to Barnes&Noble!
